ग्रीन  होप :

१९९५ या कालावधीत गणेशजी नाईक वने व पर्यावरण खात्याचे मंत्री म्हणून विराजमान झाले. वन कर्मचा-यांना पाचवा वेतन आयोग लागू करण्यात तसेच वन कर्मचा-यांना स्वसंरक्षणासाठी शस्त्रे देऊन वनरक्षणाच्या दृष्टीने सामर्थ्य प्रदन करण्यात त्यांनी पुढाकार घेतला.

“ग्रीन होप” संस्थेच्या माध्यमातून भव्य प्रमाणात वृक्षारोपण, वृक्षसंवर्धन, खारफुटींचे रोपण-संवर्धन कार्यक्रम पर्यावरणविषयक जाणीव जागृती करीत राबविले जातात.

शहर पर्यावरणाचा विचार करुन “इको सिटी” म्हणून नवी मुंबईची विकासात्मक वाटचाल सुरु असताना त्यामध्ये – स्वत : च्या मालकीच्या मोरबे धरण प्रकल्पातून जलस्वयंपूर्णता, “सी” टेक या अत्याधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करुन मलमिश्रीत अशुद्ध पाणी शुद्ध करणारी पर्यावरसंरक्षक मलप्रक्रिया केंद्रे, शास्त्रोक्त जमीन भरणा पद्धतीवर आधारीत कच-यापासून खतनिर्मिती व इंधननिर्मिती करणारा घनकचरा व्यवस्थापन प्रकल्प – असे जागतिक स्वरावर नावाजले गेलेले प्रकल्प नवी मुंबई महानगरपालिकेने राबविले आहेत.

जनतेचा आपल्यावरील सार्थ विश्वास गणेशजी नाईक यांनी नेहमीच शहर विकासाच्या माध्यमातून नागरी सुविधांना आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाची जोड देत पूर्णत्वास नेला आहे. यामुळेच नवी मुंबई शहराची आज केवळ राज्य, देशाच्या नाही तर जगाच्या नकाशावरही स्वत :ची स्वतंत्र ओळख निर्माण झालेली दिसून येते.

Green Hope :

“Green Hope”, an NGO (Non Governmental Organization) established in October, 2007 with the inspiration of honorable Min. Ganeshji Naik and under the guidance of respected M.L.A. Shri Sandeepji Naik. Following a single minded purpose of dealing and solving the upcoming issues in and around Navi Mumbai. Involved in environment related issues and helping the people by working with and for them. The Group has successfully executed activities like “Two Lakh Tree Plantation Drive Activities – 2009” and ”One Lakh Tree Plantation Drive Activities 2008” by planting over three lakh plants in and around Navi Mumbai. Green Hope is also involved in empowering men involved in substance abuse and the criminal justice system to reform their lives, reunite with their families and rebuild their communities. It’s also involved in residential, day and outpatient treatment services; it’s active participation in local and statewide policy and advocacy efforts that address the specific needs of men in prison.
